The Paladins "Slippin' In" 1999

This album contains authentic rockabilly sounds, real country music, western swing and a surf instrumental tune thrown in for good measure. If you are a Paladins fan that came on board with Ticket Home (later reissued as Rejivinated) you may not dig this cd as much as the rest of us. I think this is one of their best albums to date and it is certainly the best rockabilly they have recorded. - amazon
Slippin' In marks a return to the predominantly rockabilly sound of the Paladins' first two albums, strongly recalling the early years of Sun Records, when the line between rock & roll and country could be blurred to varying degrees at any time. There are bits of Western swing and surf music thrown in as well, adding to the group's freewheeling vibe; a fairly consistent set of songs, too, helps make this one of the Paladins' better albums. ~ Steve Huey
