The Atomic Mosquitos "California Swarmin'" 2018

These rockin mutants play the most infectious surf music this side of Three Mile Island where these mutants were born in a nuclear disaster gone horribly right.
This classic quartet hails for the beaches of Virginia. This exciting and enigmatic band is on the quirky side of surf rock with all the reverb required for the genre, to create that unique surf sound, combined with the modern trends of theatricality. The band is led by the guitarist Paul Carson and Joe Marencic. Sean Rush plays bass with Craig Strang on drums. And to further to make the band unique is Stephen Blickenstaff on the theremin. They released their first album, the self-titled Atomic Mosquitos, independently in 2002. The band signed to Nukular Reckerds in 2004 and dropped their sophomore album Release The Mosquitos! the next year. Atomic Mosquitos have continued to release new albums every few years. Meltdown came out in 2008. Bug Music For Bug People dropped in 2015 and was later remastered and re-released in 2021 as vinyl. Their fifth full-album release in 2018 was California Swarmin’. This band writes about science fiction and other fanatical topic and incorporates these themes into their theatrical and energic performances inflated by their use of a unique instrument a theremin.
