...Produced and sparsely accompanied on guitar, this CD, which is otherwise predominantly accompanied by orchestra (and certainly not classical Maori instruments), was produced by Jon Mark. Jon Mark started out as a musician in England as a producer and accompanist for the young Marianne Faithfull, played with Sweet Thursday and John Mayall, among others, before achieving great success in a duo with Johnny Almond in the 1970s. In the mid 80's he retired to New Zealand where he continued to be musically active until his recent death. Among other things with this production. - gaius
