Colin Blunstone – Rare And Unreleased

Fan job

From the compiler:

--- Neil MacArthur released three singles on the Deram label in 1969, including a psychedelic cover of the Zombies classic “She's Not There”, before vanishing, never to be heard of again. His voice was very similar to the Zombies singer Colin Blunstone, leading some people to believe that Neil MacArthur and Colin Blunstone were one and the same person – and, of course, they were. After The Zombies split following the lack of success of their “Odessey And Oracle” album, Blunstone briefly worked as a clerk in the insurance business, before resuming his musical career, signing a deal with Deram in 1969 and recording a cover of his former band's best known song, released as credited to “Neil MacArthur”. Two more singles followed, a mixture of covers and originals, and he also recorded songs by The Assocation (track 8) and Buffalo Springfield (track 9), which remained unissued for many years. He released an Italian version of “She's Not There” for the European market. Also included are a couple of obscure singles tracks from 1971 and 1974, as well as a track which was included on the U.S. version of his 1974 album “Journey”, but which was omitted from the original U.K. version. There are 5 live performances for Belgian and Dutch TV, as well as a rehearsal version of Gene Vincent’s “I’m Going Home” by The Zombies. You’ll also find 4 tracks that were re-recorded for a 1991 CD, very close to the original versions. Enjoy listening to the best male pop/rock voice that ever came from the U.K.. ---

1. Neil MacArthur - She's Not There (single 1969) (3:18)
2. Neil MacArthur - World Of Glass (single 1969) (2:25)
3. Neil MacArthur - Ma Non E Giusto (She's Not There) (Italian single 1969) (3:17)
4. Neil MacArthur - Don't Try To Explain (single 1969) (3:20)
5. Neil MacArthur - Without Her (single 1969) (3:17)
6. Neil MacArthur - It's Not Easy (single 1969) (2:48)
7. Neil MacArthur - 12.29 (single 1969) (2:57)
8. Neil MacArthur - Never My Love (unreleased) (2:38)
9. Neil MacArthur - Hung Upside Down (unreleased) (3:30)
10. Colin Blunstone - She's Not There (1991 re-recording) (2:21)
11. Colin Blunstone - Andorra (1991 re-recording) (3:14)
12. Colin Blunstone - Tell Her No (1991 re-recording) (2:04)
13. Colin Blunstone - What Becomes Of The Brokenhearted (1991 re-recording) (3:14)

I don't think any know this trick: if the file name is too long, some longer named songs will not extract. don't worry, I toss away a third of my blog files here I get because idgets don't try to extract their own posts! Someday they won't be such high maintenance people.

file name too long is not a hard fix. Go to the main folder and rename it with one letter or number and all files will extract-then if needed rename the folder a shorter name to fit.

@Richie Nixan: Thanks for the link to Archive.org for that film. I then spent all day and all night looking at things on there and didn't get anything else done yesterday. I guess a person needs to do that occasionally.

Sounds like me like you should work on improving your computer skills rather than attacking the quality of shares. You might try a different archive extractor than the one you are using, since there are no other idjets who are having this probem.

You can't get into the files when they are zipped to shorten the names. Text will not change. Of course I have shortened the main file name to make work many times. It's just the naivete...do I really need those two Stones songs one from each disk that didn't extract....no I can get them on youtube. HIGH MAINTENANCE

Rick I have these two vinyl rips I did: Vern Gosdin - The Best Of LP 77 78 79 w Too Far Gone LP 83: Though post is expired, I can bring the file into work later this week to repost the link for you. BTW here is the Delaney and Bonnie you requested last Friday and finally had time to upload it today for next week announcement. I may add some solo Bonnie posted in comments back then if I find it at home. I only post here at work since rip PC at home off the grid to protect it. https://bestfile.io/en/r2llFlFmO1mPAOM/file
