"Poonanny" can refer to a person or a slang term. It is most famously the stage name of Hubert Joe "Poonanny" Burns, a blues drummer and showman known for his risque songs, or "punani," a slang term for female genitalia. "

One of my fave soul compilations:

"Green Is for the Money, Gold is For The Honey... Review by Rob Theakston

"Someone once said that the art of pimping is not easy. It has also been said that it's dirty work, but somebody has to do it. Exhausted superlatives aside, no pimp has been more revered in his field than Bishop Don Magic Juan. And given this high level of respect, it's a mystery as to why it took so long to get his first compilation together. But good things come to those who wait, and this ten-song selection is a wonderful serving of laid-back soul grooves from the '70s and '80s. Ranging in scope from super popular ("Have You Seen Her") to the obscure (a later cut by the Temptations), it's a relaxed disc that is sequenced incredibly well. With between-track commentary by the man himself, it sounds a bit like a radio show, but that definitely adds a bit of lively fun and personality."

Today I'm so happy to be able to return THE MASACCIO OF GONZO a bit of what i've downloaded from him.
1- FLAMIN' GROOVIES ('68) Eva Records.
https://transfer.it/t/A4BEMRkn3DAT
2- FLAMIN' GROOVIES ('70) Eva Records
https://transfer.it/t/8pJrxJlD1LzT
I own both records. French label Eva released them in 1884. Recorded in small parties, one in a swimming pool party and a familiar atmosphere. It's like having the Groovies play your garden in a soft summer night. Enjoy. Both FLAC.
