Long Chris Et Les Daltons – Twistin’ The Rock Vol. 12 (2 CDs)

French Rock, Country and Folk (early- to late-sixties)
Long Chris (born Christian Blondieau in 1942 in Paris, France) was a childhood friend of Johnny Hallyday. When the latter became very successful in 1961, Chris formed his own band “Les Daltons”. After releasing several EPs, Les Daltons split and Chris started an unsuccessful solo career, as “Long Chris Et Les Cowden”, or “Long Chris”, or simply “Chris”. He also wrote or adapted more than 40 songs for his friend Johnny (Génération Perdue, Gabrielle, Confessions, Dis À Mon Frère, J’Ai Crié À La Nuit…and many others). His friendship with Hallyday came somewhat to an end when Johnny married his daughter Adeline Blondieau (a huge TV star on her own in France); she was 28 years younger than Johnny. Actually, they married and divorced twice! Adeline Blondieau had a very successful acting career in a very popular French TV series called “Sous Le Soleil”.
Nowadays, Chris is an expert in military memorabialia.
