Lowell Bennett - Lowell Bennett Sings Merle Haggard
Westland Records WLRUNR001 (fake ref) (USA 1971)
Gib Guilbeau (aka Gib Guilbeau), John Beland, Thad Maxwell, Stan Pratt
with Gib on lead vocals and the rest of Swampwater as the backing band
Swampwater recorded 4 LPs under the name Lowell Bennett for Westland Records in 1970-1971. The LPs were never released. They did it under an assumed name because Swampwater were signed to RCA at the time. On each record, they did songs by a famous country star - Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, Glen Campbell and Jerry Lee Lewis. Gib Guilbeau did the lead vocals on this one, a Merle Haggard tribute.

King Tubby Vs Channel One - Dub Soundclash CD
https://www.discogs.com/release/8605937-King-Tubby-Bunny-Striker-Lee-Vs-Channel-One-5-Jah-Stitch-Dub-Soundclash-For-One-Night-Only
Striker Lee and Jah Stitch intro ten dubs as if it were a soundclash, proper Scientist at Tubby's studio and possibly Crucial Bunny at Channel One dubs for sure, with mixes to rhythms such as Slim Smith's Give Me A Love, Johnny Clarke's version of Doing My Thing, Pat Kelly's It's A Good Day and versions of Love & Devotion, Sitting & Watching and others by David Isaccs. The amusing Intro's - Striker and cohort singing For He's A Jolly Good Fellow at one point - sound like early eighties vintage, and indeed this set was originally issued in the US in 1980 as King Tubby & Scientist & Crucial Bunny – King Tubby Verses Channel One and as King Tubby's Studio Vs Channel One In Dub in the UK on Rhino in 1995 (thanks Jumbo!). Entertaining stuff. Six bonus tracks on the CD issue including the stunning Jammy's A Shine dub to Ronnie Davis' version of Bob's Sun Is Shining. -Dub Vendor
Enforcer - Ride On Marcus 7''
https://www.discogs.com/release/23683556-Enforcer-Ride-On-Marcus
A masterpiece of mid '70s roots reggae and one that sits at the apex of Channel 1's roots output, the smoky voiced Enforcer with the Mighty Diamonds on harmonies. Newly remastered from the original tape and sounding better than ever, a must have for any fan of the militant roots reggae sound.
