Steve Earle regarded both Townes Van Zandt and Guy Clark as his mentors. He owed a lot to both. He has recorded tribute albums to both.

Vince Taylor Et Ses Play-Boys – Box Set Of 5 vinyl singles
Barclay JB21-JB22-JB23-JB24-JB25 (France 1962)
In 1962, Barclay released a very special promo set of 5 singles by “Vince Taylor Et Ses Play-Boys”.
They were 7”/17 cm records spinning at 33 rpm with a small hole in the middle (as for the LPs), housed in a cardboard box, sealed with a Barclay-marked Scotch tape.
There was a paper sheet included, with the same picture as on the “Shaking All Over” EP and the titles of the 10 songs.
There also was a sheet of 5 jukebox strips.
Each single was housed in a separate crystal clear plastic sleeve.
The songs were from the first 5 EPs released by Barclay so far.
Some sources say that the set was aimed at the South American market.
This set is the Holy Grail for Vince Taylor collectors.
As usual for these French releases, there was at least one language error on each record, as detailed hereunder.
Unfortunately, I don’t own this set, so I reconstructed it from various sources.
Track #1 is a “twist” remake of Big Maybelle’s / Roy Hall’s / Jerry Lee Lewis’s “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On”.
