---Originally included as a free addition to the 1978 boxed set “The Beatles Collection” (blue box). Only rare tracks are “Across The Universe”, previously available only on the now-deleted charity album No One’s Gonna Change Our World, and the German-language version of “She Loves You” and “I Want To Hold Your Hand”, previously unavailable in Britain. In fact eight of the 17 tracks were previously available: “Long Tall Sally”, “I Call Your Name”, “Slow Down”, “Matchbox” and “I’m Down” are on the “Rock And Roll Music” album; “Yes It Is” and “This Boy” on “Love Songs”; and “Rain” on the “Hey Jude” album. John Rich - Rescue Me (2001), an independent release.
After being fired from Lonestar in the late 90s, Rich moved to Nashville to find work as a songwriter and hopefully find another label. During this time, he met up with 'Big' Kenny Alphin during an open mic, and formed a songwriting powerhouse for the next decade or so, in the form of their 2004 Big & Rich debut- as well as in the numerous hit singles they had written for other artists.
The album was self financed by Rich after taking out a second mortgage out on his home, and features the first recorded version of Amarillo Sky. Been looking for this one for 12 years.
