THE MEKONS have released over twenty albums since their debut in 1979...
...If that were not enough, they’ve put out an almost infinite number of side projects, including solo records by members Jon Langford and Sally Timms, the Pine Valley Cosmonauts and numerous other configurations. What jumps out of all these different iterations is the Mekons’ long-standing love affair with American Country Music. This fan-created collection, far from complete, compiles a good number of the country music covers that have informed the MEKON Family’s catalog, now in its fifth decade.
