…and now for something completely different! 3128 - 2026

These damned religious fanatics, politicians, warlords, and so on... Instead of sending the children of their peoples to THEIR OWN WARS, these idiots should settle their differences in large arenas with boxing matches or football games! For example, the "peace-making" Evangelical Messiah Agent Orange against the belligerent Putin, or the Pope in his ridiculous disguise against the bearded Ayatollahs with beards down to their navels... More examples welcome! - RYP

PLEASE READ OUR RULES:
We have a first entry each day that is a picture or a video, and only in that entry you can place your music links and requests (NO ALBUMS OR BOOKS RELEASED IN 2024 AND AFTER, AND A DAILY LIMIT OF 3 ALBUMS OR BOOKS AND NO REQUESTS FOR FLAC OR OTHER LOSSLESS, IF YOU WANT FLAC, BUY THE ALBUM)! Here you can say what you like, unless it's offensive, racist or discriminatory! Please keep your language polite and respectful. All other official posts will only allow comments related to the official posts and such. That way it will keep things much more organized and tidy. Enjoy! RYP and Gyro1966 and Gaius R.I.P.

In the 60s and 70s, the German branch of CBS used to pre-release promo singles in a series they called “blitzinformation” (= lightning information), with each single being housed in a specific sleeve. Most of the time, the rear of the sleeve was a generic one, but some of them were different.

Most tracks were the original versions; some were edited versions and some others were exclusive single versions.

I have gathered 20 such singles by Bob Dylan (41 tracks as there is a 3-track one), and compiled them in two zip files.

Each zip file contains 10 sub-directories (one for each single with both tracks, front cover, back cover and labels images).

I have also made CD artwork for those who would like to burn the tracks onto 2 CDRs.

So here we go with volume 1:

Bob Dylan – CBS-Blitzinformation – Volume 1

1. Knockin' On Heaven's Door (2:30)
2. Turkey Chase (3:30)
3. A Fool Such As I (2:44)
4. Lily Of The West (3:47)
5. Tangled Up In Blue (5:40)
6. If You See Her, Say Hello (4:47)
7. Tangled Up In Blue (short version) (3:38)
8. If You See Her, Say Hello (4:47)
9. Million Dollar Bash (with The Band) (2:32)
10. Tears Of Rage (with The Band) (4:11)
11. Hurricane (Part I) (3:45)
12. Hurricane (Part II) (4:55)
13. Mozambique (3:00)
14. Oh, Sister (4:03)
15. I Threw It All Away (2:25)
16. Drifter's Escape (2:48)
17. Lay Lady Lay (3:21)
18. Peggy Day (1:59)
19. Tonight I'll Be Staying Here W (3:21)
20. Country Pie (1:37)

Artwork Included (homemade CD front, back, CD and individual singles fronts, backs and labels)

West African Music continues the family theme with Maliian husbands and wives.
Tata Bambo Kouyate, one of Mali's most popular singers who, as a teenager, joined the Malian National Ensemble performing all over West Africa. Married Les Grands Ballets D'Afrique Noire's guitarist and composer Modibo Kouyaté and switched from traditional to electric instruments with huge success.
Born in Kayes, Ousmane Sacko and his wife Yakaré Diabaté performed the Khasso style of Manding music, which fundamentally traditional in structure was highly individual in it's content.
Last but not least, master ngoni player, an ancient traditional lute found throughout West Africa, Bassekou Kouyate's debut album 'Segu Blue'. His band Ngoni Ba consists of not only his brothers, both ngoni players, but also vocals from his wife Ami Sacko.

Here’s the last of The Clash posts:
The Clash - London Calling + The Vanilla Tapes
This is the 25th Anniversary edition of London Calling which includes a legit release of The Vanilla Tapes.
Here’s the backstory on The Vanilla Tapes, which are demos for what became London Calling:
https://recordcollectormag.com/articles/the-clash-london-calling-and-the-vanilla-tapes

https://www.discogs.com/release/606837-The-Clash-London-Calling

Sadly, this does not include The Making of London Calling DVD that came with the set.

Honestly, I’ve always preferred the original 10” version called Black Market Clash, but Super Black Market Clash does have some great additional stuff on it.
I tacked on three extra tracks to the end, Ghetto Defendant Dub, Guns of Brixton Maxi Dub Version, and Spanish Bombs “rare unedited 1979 Version.”

Great news ! I don't think the problem was so much the troll. It seemed to be 1 troll and 2-3 Oldmelodies posters, especially K, who would not ignore the troll. It was their continued comebacks to the troll that kept the situation going. Trolls will usually give up and fade away if they do not get the attention they crave.
