…and now for something completely different! 3127 - 2026

These damned religious fanatics, politicians, warlords, and so on... Instead of sending the children of their peoples to THEIR OWN WARS, these idiots should settle their differences in large arenas with boxing matches or football games! For example, the "peace-making" Evangelical Messiah Agent Orange against the belligerent Putin, or the Pope in his ridiculous disguise against the bearded Ayatollahs with beards down to their navels... More examples welcome! - RYP

PLEASE READ OUR RULES:
We have a first entry each day that is a picture or a video, and only in that entry you can place your music links and requests (NO ALBUMS OR BOOKS RELEASED IN 2024 AND AFTER, AND A DAILY LIMIT OF 3 ALBUMS OR BOOKS AND NO REQUESTS FOR FLAC OR OTHER LOSSLESS, IF YOU WANT FLAC, BUY THE ALBUM)! Here you can say what you like, unless it's offensive, racist or discriminatory! Please keep your language polite and respectful. All other official posts will only allow comments related to the official posts and such. That way it will keep things much more organized and tidy. Enjoy! RYP and Gyro1966 and Gaius R.I.P.

West African Music continues with the new directions taken by two of the Malian kora players featured yesterday and an old friend from Guinea.
Toumani Diabaté adventures into cross-over began at an early age, I first saw him in the mid 80's as a teenager performing with West Indian musicians in the mid 80's. Since then he has gone on to record in many styles and genres of music, but today's offering is his wonderful collaboration with jazz musician Roswell Rudd.
Ballaké Sissoko too has recorded with many musicians in many different fields, none more successfully than with the musicians who go by the name 3MA.
Lastly a Guinean Korafola, who along with Abdoulaye Diabate and Moussa Sissokho, produce a music that is a mix of American jazz with traditional African music.

One more Clash post tomorrow,
unless somebody reeeeally needs the original albums. They're so easy to find, but I’ll post ‘em if needed.

2004 VA - Radio Clash - A Mojo Compilation.
One unreleased Joe Strummer track, the rest were picked by Mick and Paul and are either songs they like and/or Clash adjacent.
https://www.discogs.com/release/519350-Various-Radio-Clash
https://pixeldrain.com/u/MEJRPpi2

2000 The Clash - This Is Dub Clash
Probably the compilation I listen to the most. https://www.discogs.com/release/7097484-The-Clash-This-Is-Dub-Clash

I just discovered there’s another shorter volume with different tracks. I could assemble it myself but that would require me to assemble it myself. If you have it do please share.

One thing from the Clash that I don’t have is the Bond’s Casino recordings.

Nevermind the request as my equally obsessive-compulsive friend Beth just sent me a copy. Apparently she used a translation website that converted the entire book from French to English.

Yesterday RiCK SAUNDERS asked for Milton Brown.

And the first three discs of "The Complete Recordings Of The Father Of Western Swing, 1932-1937" were posted.
https://www.discogs.com/release/7725531-Milton-Brown-And-The-Musical-Brownies-The-Complete-Recordings-Of-The-Father-Of-Western-Swing-1932-19

Today comes the remaining 2 of this 5-disc set. Again, I have zero provenance for this beyond having collected it in July of 2018.

Rick 2 Questions
1 The second Dub are they different takes? Why would you want an album with less music?
2 They played Bonds for 17 nights. Have you seen any extra dates? (Thanks Zippy.)
Thanks for your shares here.
