…and now for something completely different! 3130 - 2026

These damned religious fanatics, politicians, warlords, and so on... Instead of sending the children of their peoples to THEIR OWN WARS, these idiots should settle their differences in large arenas with boxing matches or football games! For example, the "peace-making" Evangelical Messiah Agent Orange against the belligerent Putin, or the Pope in his ridiculous disguise against the bearded Ayatollahs with beards down to their navels... More examples welcome! - RYP

PLEASE READ OUR RULES:
We have a first entry each day that is a picture or a video, and only in that entry you can place your music links and requests (NO ALBUMS OR BOOKS RELEASED IN 2024 AND AFTER, AND A DAILY LIMIT OF 3 ALBUMS OR BOOKS AND NO REQUESTS FOR FLAC OR OTHER LOSSLESS, IF YOU WANT FLAC, BUY THE ALBUM)! Here you can say what you like, unless it's offensive, racist or discriminatory! Please keep your language polite and respectful. All other official posts will only allow comments related to the official posts and such. That way it will keep things much more organized and tidy. Enjoy! RYP and Gyro1966 and Gaius R.I.P.

The Byrds – Never Before

The Byrds – Never Again

SPA CD – The Early Years – 02-CD 3315

* Tracks 12 and 16 (two Bob Dylan songs) are by a female singer backed by a band sounding like The Byrds. At the time this CD came out, the tracks were said to be demos for a then-unknown singer trying to jump on the “Dylan songs = hits” bandwagon and that the backing band was The Byrds. I have more than serious doubts about that but who knows?

1. Band Intro + Hey Joe (Stockholm 1967) (2:54)
2. My Back Pages (Stockholm 1967) (3:35)
3. Mr Tambourine Man (Stockholm 1967) (2:26)
4. He Was A Friend Of Mine (Stockholm 1967) (3:00)
5. So You Want To Be A Rock 'n' Roll Star (Stockholm 1967) (3:05)
6. The Bells Of Rhymney (Stockholm 1967) (3:35)
7. Roll Over Beethoven + Outro (Stockholm 1967) (2:48)
8. He Was A Friend Of Mine (Monterey 1967) (2:56)
9. Hey Joe (Monterey 1967) (2:36)
10. So You Want To Be A Rock 'n' Roll Star (Monterey 1967) (2:50)
11. Turn Turn Turn (Studio Demo 1966) (4:05)
12. I Don't Believe You (Studio Demo 1966) (2:28)
13. Eight Miles High (Studio Demo 1966) (3:57)
14. I Know You Rider (Studio Demo 1966) (2:42)
15. Scrambled Egg Jam (aka John Riley) (Studio Demo 1966) (2:57)
16. It's All Over Now, Baby Blue (Studio Demo 1965) (3:04)

HT105 - Jerry Garcia - Capitol Theatre 4/10/82

His legendary one-off solo concert. At his request, John Kahn accompanied him on stage for the rest of the tour, somewhat the start of the Garcia-Kahn tours. Sound quality's as good as it gets.

MEKONS request: Would anyone happen to have their "New York: On the Road 86-87"? It was originally a cassette-only ROIR release but it made it on to CD many years later. Thanks to whomever . . . and to all the generous contributors here.

Thanks for the Clash Bonds. I would like to hear the other dates if you have the time. I love the story that the promoters sold more tickets than the capacity and the Clash decided to double the dates. It was a turning point.

Anyone here have the ear of the "Themes of Great Cities" blogger? If so, I tried to ask for a re-up of this (https://tfgc1.blogspot.com/2023/05/various-artists-tales-from-australian.html), but I'm either having a bout of my chronic operator error syndrome or blogspot isn't letting me comment there, so, figured I'd try here, just in case. TIA! And thanks for all the shares! Y'all are great!

The Clash stand at Bonds. Chaos In NY, June 4th

Apparently there are releases that use the June 9th recordings, but this one is different from the 9th show I have.

Provenance in the file, however the site is defunct. Thanks to the original poster.
