Here is a mixtape I (obviously) made six or seven years ago, time flies, god knows where. Both (mostly) instrumental tracks and with vocals, funky, jazzy and groovy sounds from the old Soviet Union, while listening to it I found it rather interesting how close to west they were in the musical way after all and inspired by), some great musicians and inovators back then for sure. Hope some of you like it. Have a great and lazy saturday. Cheers.

Fairport Convention
Fairport Convention are a British folk rock band, formed in 1967 by guitarists Richard Thompson and Simon Nicol, bassist Ashley Hutchings and drummer Shaun Frater (with Frater replaced by Martin Lamble after their first gig.) They started out heavily influenced by American folk rock, with a setlist dominated by Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell songs and a sound that earned them the nickname "the British Jefferson Airplane". Vocalists Judy Dyble and Iain Matthews joined them before the recording of their self-titled debut in 1968; afterwards, Dyble was replaced by Sandy Denny, with Matthews later leaving during the recording of their third album.

THE HOLLIES - TOMORROW WHEN IT COMES: SELECTED TRACKS 1967-68
mp3: https://workupload.com/file/ZtnjhMcXhmZ
FLAC version available - see below
Quite a while ago now I posted a compilation of lesser known Hollies tracks from 1963 to 1966, which for me is their best period. I'm not so interested in the band after Graham Nash left in late 1968, but there are enough tracks to make a good compilation of 1967-68 material including Nash. As before I've avoided the hits, and this is what I've come up with:
01 Step Inside
02 Wings
03 You Need Love
04 Kill Me Quick
05 Like Every Time Before
06 Rain In The Window
07 All the World Is Love
08 Then The Heartaches Begin
09 Have You Ever Loved Somebody
10 Try It
11 Signs That Will Never Change
12 Leave Me
13 When Your Light's Turned On
14 Tomorrow When It Comes
At this point I would normally direct you to my links page, where you can access all my compilations. I used to use a great text hosting site which supported BBCode, so I was able to have different fonts, cover art, clickable links etc. Unfortunately the site seems to have ceased operation. I have tried to find another with the same facilities, but no luck.
What I've got now is a bulletin board, which has all the features I need. I've put all my links on it - including the earlier Hollies compilation and a FLAC version of the present one - and you can find it here:
tinyurl.com/easilyconfused
This is a new thing for me, so it's likely there are improvements I could make. If there are are problems, please let me know.
Drop by and take a look!
KNICKERBOCKERS - LOVE IS A BIRD: SELECTED TRACKS 1965-68
mp3: https://workupload.com/file/TqczsMknhMf
Here's my personal best of the Kickerbockers, the New Jersey band which existed from 1964-68, and had a biggish hit with the Beatle-esque Lies. They made other good records too, and had a decent songwriter in the band, so I don't understand why they cut such a lot of poor cover versions. I have avoided these, and chosen the best of the rest:
01 Rumours, Gossip, Words Untrue
02 They Ran For Their Lives
03 My Feet Are Off The Ground
04 High On Love
05 Just One Girl
06 Can't You See I'm Trying
07 The Coming Generation
08 I Can Do It Better
09 Lies
10 Come And Let Me
11 I Love
12 Stick With Me
13 One Track Mind
14 She Said Goodbye
15 Please Don't Fight It
16 Love Is A Bird
You can find a FLAC version on my bulletin board, here:
tinyurl.com/easilyconfused
where you can also peruse all my other compilations.

Hello,
Looking for Various Artists - Hey Bo Diddley - A Tribute! 2002 release.
If you can help and post it would be much appreciated. Thank you.
This ask may be a little tricky, but i've been searchin a while for the Swedish indie/garagerock band Bloom and their debut album Everyday Must Die from 1993 a while. Some tracks remains a bit of Verlaine/Television. Sounded great I remember. Thanks in advance.
