…and now for something completely different! 1639 - 2022

These arrogant fucking politicians don't give a fuck about us! They don't know that they are as superfluous as telephone disinfectors and hairdressers! It is to cry for! - RYP

We have a first entry each day that is a picture or a video, and only in that entry you can place your music links and requests (NO ALBUMS RELEASED IN 2020 AND AFTER, AND A DAILY LIMIT OF 3 ALBUMS)! Here you can say what you like, unless it's offensive, racist or discriminatory! Please keep your language polite and respectful. All the rest official posts will only allow comments related to the official posts and such. That way it will keep things much more organized and tidy. Enjoy! RYP and Gyro1966

The Reihhard Mey track is very powerful stuff and gives creedence to rock music - a change from the usual bland and purile norm. This should be shown on every network television channel on the hour once an hour. Congratulations.

Today, March 29, 2022 is the 58th anniversary of the first day of regular transmissions by offshore radio station Radio Caroline off the British coast (on 197.3 meters medium waves, announced as 199 to rhyme with the station's name), from the ship Fredericia, renamed MV Caroline.

The launch occurred during the Easter weekend of 1964.

Radio Caroline is still going strong today on the internet, FM, DAB, Long Wave and Medium Wave.

Radio Caroline Story

Offshore Records OF-CA 01 (The Netherlands 1973)

Side A contains recordings from Radio Atlanta, Caroline North & South, The Caroline Cash Casino show and more.

Side B is about the comeback of the station in 1972: you'll hear Crispian St. John, Andy Archer, Radio 199 and Radio Caroline test transmissions, the very first programs on Friday 22nd december 1972, jingles and an interview with Ronan O'Rahilly.

2. 1972-1973 (24:22)

'The Toll' made alternative rock from the picture book of US-Indie Collage Radio Stations. And when having released some singles Geffen Records caught them up for 2 albums. Here's the second one (which I didn't see floating around many times).

When I shared the Karen + Michael Landau band 'Hazey Jane [USA]', Diana Brille was reminded at the Scottish band 'The Hazey Janes' which were published here the last days. Me, I remember 'The Dear Janes', an UK/USA collaboration without a 'Jane' in it. Vocalists were Barbara Marsh + Ginny Clee. Here they are, nice to hear:

Concerning the “Night Lunch” video you posted yesterday.

I went to your link & it said “You need access” so I wrote my message requesting access & so far haven’t gotten any type of response.

I’m signed into my Google account & it has my email address on it but so far nada response.

Is this offering only for selected folks on TZ?

Thanks

A very big thanks for the video of today.
In France we have a song written by Boris Vian : "le déserteur" (the deserter/der Deserteur), but I prefer the song of today, with the parents who dont want to give their sons for making the war.

Don't tell any stupid lies, People here have d/l more than 1000 albums from myzuka without any virus and have done this for about ten years. And like any of these libraries, you gotta move your ass and work, track by track. But I understand, it's more comfortable letting other people work. What do you think what you get here, songs collected from myzuka (and a few others).

Regarding myzuka I'm not going to comment on the laziness of some people, BUT:

G-Data gives you indeed a virus warning when you go to that site:

Virus: Trojan.Script.GenerickDZ.6253 (EngineA)...
It attacks Firefox; so when I visit that site, I'm using Brave.

LittleJack my friend,
I am very pleased that you mention Boris Vian's "le déserteur". He is one of my favorite writers and I own all of his books published in German, particularly loving "L'Herbe Rouge" and of course "L'Écume De Jours". His novels have accompanied me throughout my life. Unfortunately he is completely undervalued here in Germany! To counteract this, his "Le Deserteur" comes out today with English subtitles!
I wish you a sunny and warm spring day!

I can't say I've ever encountered a virus at myzuka and I've downloaded a lot from there. I sometimes wonder if people have virus shields that are not quite right, or worse still have no virus shield or instead of a virus shield have some other software designed to prevent ad pop-ups and they confuse the warnings about pop-ups with virus warnings. You get lots of complaints from people about certain download engines having viruses, but as long as you've got a current, up-to-date virus shield, that shouldn't be a problem.
