Ryan Bingham got in contact with French musician Stephane Beaussart and a local soundboard operator. They recorded a handful of live albums in an effort to raise funds during an impromptu tour of Europe after Bingham had been stranded there (an offer to perform as a 'real cowboy' at a Disney Paris performance fell through after he had already landed).
This album was recorded in Montry, France and the files were provided by the original sounboard operator, now owner of FDsound in France.

Also, I'm still searching for anyone who might have a copy of Lost Bound Rails, a demo album Ryan passed around either shortly before leaving Hobbs, New Mexico or right after getting to Stephenville, Texas. The version with a known track listing shows 15 songs, but I was recently contacted by someone who was stationed in Texas during the early 00s, and claims to have a disc labeled "Ryan Bingham - Lost Bound Rails", but it only features 8 tracks, one of which is a duet with someone he thinks is Stoney LaRue. I contacted Stoney and he claims to not remember recording anything like that, but "does remember recording some stuff together", and asked to send it his was if something like that turned up. Now, not to shit on the guy, but Stoney drank quite a bit back in the day and I'm thinking that may have had something to do with this discrepancy. At any rate, I'm still waiting on the contact to send the files over at the moment. There is a possibility it's not true, as I've come across a handful of instances where people pretended to have a rare album, but did not. Sadly, most of Ryan's family from Hobbs has passed, and his early rodeo buddies are all disbanded, in some cases permanently hospitalized. I have however tracked down his uncle, and he lives about 30 minutes from me, if I prove I'm a dedicated fan and not a complete psycho I may be able to get some info from him. If anyone has either version of Lost Bound Rails please please post it either here, or send it/any leads to OCSchuck@mail.com! I also have Ryan's Live at Connolly's & Live at Friezhalle, as well as his 3 early unsigned albums.
Also still searching for a live album he did somewhere in Ireland!

Searnav - Funny how some artists have a cavalier attitude to their own catalog. I held out a copy of Delbert McClinton's first LP (I had 2!) to him at a show and he asked for a pen. I said, no, in an interview you said you didn't own a copy of your own first album, so here it is. His band came and sat in with mine the next day! Not the first encounter with Delbert, but that's another story...
