We have a first entry each day that is a picture or a video, and only in that entry you can place your music links and requests (NO ALBUMS RELEASED IN 2021 AND AFTER, AND A DAILY LIMIT OF 3 ALBUMS AND NO REQUESTS FOR FLAC OR OTHER LOSSLESS, IF YOU WANT FLAC, BUY THE ALBUM)! Here you can say what you like, unless it's offensive, racist or discriminatory! Please keep your language polite and respectful.
All other official posts will only allow comments related to the official posts and such. That way it will keep things much more organized and tidy.
Enjoy! RYP and Gyro1966

Jane Only was a duo formed between Chelsea Crowell (her parents are Rosanne Cash and Rodney Crowell) and Steven Braren (Cheap Time). Backed by Marty Linville, Fletcher Bangs Watson. Crowell's first project before recording her 2 solo albums, (self-titled and Crystal City) which I had intended to post as well. Unfortunately my CDR, where I stored the albums, turns out to have a fault and will not rip. So unless someone else has them to share, no can do.

Free Friday Films brings you the greatest "disability film" ever with...
DANCE ME TO MY SONG
The fact that Dance Me to My Song is a completely unknown film, and not a major milestone in the independent film world, shouldn’t surprise me anymore, and yet… you can’t watch this film without wondering what is wrong with our world. Here is a film written by and starring Heather Rose, a woman with cerebral palsy who wanted to write a script that wasn’t “another soppy disability film”- one can only assume she was referring to My Left Foot and other Hollywood films that exist only for the purpose of getting their star an Oscar. The film is exactly what Rose intended- raw, real, no punches pulled or sentimentality injected. Rose hides nothing from the screen- literally, nothing- revealing all the harshness of her daily existence. And yet, it still manages to be funny, life-affirming and all of those other buzzwords, too, but in a genuine, and not contrived, way. So why do internet lists about disability films like this one fail to mention the best example of CP ever committed to cinema?
One can only guess. Meanwhile, praise must be given not only to Ms. Rose, but the great Dutch Australian director Rolf de Heer, who, like Ken Loach, always infuses his films with a huge amount of compassion for his subjects. De Heer starts the film off with the tag “A film by Heather Rose,” humbly removing himself from the credits in order to highlight who the real creative hero is here. Usually, like in Ten Canoes, De Heer’s heroes are Aborigines, but here he applies his loving and wise eye to his disabled protagonist, Julia, for whom every single tiny aspect of daily life is an enormous struggle. Sure, we might understand this fact intellectually as viewers, but the beauty of Dance Me to My Song is how painfully it shoves you into her shoes, starkly revealing the domestic drama that is her very existence.
But Julia is only half the story; her bitter and resentful caretaker, Madeline, is the other half. Madeline is young and attractive, but miserable and desperate. Desperate for a man, desperate for money, desperate for a life out of this hell-hole existence getting paid peanuts to take care of this pathetic lump of a human being on a daily basis- that’s Madeline’s attitude. The humiliations she puts Julia through are as cringy as it gets, especially since Julia / Heather is not faking it. Seeing someone be cruel to Daniel Day Lewis pretending to have CP is one thing… seeing it done to an actually disabled person, even in a fictional film, is downright shocking, and De Heer cleverly just lets the camera roll, hiding none of the ugliness found between these two women .
But Julia has an intelligence Madeline will never have, and they both know it. The film thankfully never tries to make a statement as trite as “Madeline is the real disabled person in this story” or anything like that. Nowhere does it romanticize having cerebral palsy, nor does it imply that life isn’t as bad as it seems- it is. Even so, Julia has an inner strength that Madeline can’t compete with, to the point where the two end up vying for the same man’s (Eddie’s) attention- a random stranger-turned-friend whom we never quite get to truly know. Though the film’s end does feel oddly compact and abrupt compared to the rest of the film, it’s a minor quibble- you just can’t not love these sad, messed up people and their little, but important, lives.

@wally k - The track titles on your files came through fine. I mentioned the absence of track titles in allmusic only to convey just how minimal their entry for this album was.
I don't burn CDs or print album covers, but I still like to have album art to view on my iPod.
As for recording dates, I never expect files to be tagged for the year of recording rather than the year of release (though RYP and Gyro1966 are pretty good in that regard). I count on having to do that myself. This particular album was probably the hardest I've done, since the original singles were so obscure.
I'm obsessive enough that I usually do such re-tagging before even listening to the album. So I was glad when I finally listened to it and found that I liked the music enough to care when it was recorded.
Anyway, thanks for sharing the album.
So much for 30 days before deletion. I uploaded these the day before Part 1 and apart from Man Behind The Sun from Part 7, all of Parts 7, 8 & 9 have been deleted.
