That'll do nicely thanks RYP.

40 days until the World Cup starts. I cannot wait. I detest how Qatar was awarded the hosting rights and I don't like the timing being in the middle of the northern football season, but I will have to put all that aside. The games will happen during our sleeping hours, so sacrifices have to made. Australia tried to win the hosting rights too. We spent vast sums schmoozing all the right people, we had put on a very successful Olympics in 2000, only 9 years before the bid etc. We ended up getting one f***ing vote, from Kaiser Franz B. What's wrong with that picture?

Australia's team will surprise us all if we get out of our group. We simply do not have the quality of players. Our best team was in Germany in 2006, where an extremely cruel refereeing decision in our Round of 16 match against Italy brought our little run to an end.

So come on Brazil, Germany, Netherlands, Argentina, everyone!, show us your best stuff and leave us with great memories. And then it's the agony of a 4 year wait for the next time.
