…and now for something completely different! 1819 - 2022

These fucking politicians, warlords and religious... They don't know that they are as superfluous as telephone disinfectors and hairdressers! - RYP

We have a first entry each day that is a picture or a video, and only in that entry you can place your music links and requests (NO ALBUMS RELEASED IN 2020 AND AFTER, AND A DAILY LIMIT OF 3 ALBUMS)! Here you can say what you like, unless it's offensive, racist or discriminatory! Please keep your language polite and respectful. All the rest official posts will only allow comments related to the official posts and such. That way it will keep things much more organized and tidy. Enjoy! RYP and Gyro1966

And here is our all time fav drummer (except for Animal of coure) Maureen Tucker, below is her stunning debut solo album from 1982, a low-fi rock'n'roll affair that should mesmerize indie kids for generations, way ahead for it's time. She mix pwn compositions with som well known standards (but in her ow way), no one dealing with the drums like Moe! And she actually played all instruments of her own on the record! Celebrate and support Moe!

Interview with moe from the ROlling Stone:
https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/maureen-tucker-velvet-underground-documentary-interview-1239960/

As a bonus fact, in the late nighties I was sp obsessed with the Velvet, that I started to exchange letters with Moe, don't remember how many letter we wrote each other, she was so friendly (asked much about me and my job) and hand no problem at all talking about VU and the other members, at the end of our weeks of conversation she send me a repress of this album, sign with "To Mike from Moe with love!". The summer after, I stood in a very small crowd at a indoor concert here in Stockholm with John Cale and his band. I stood three meters from him, dressed in a yellow pike-shirt he lift the viola (he got from Laurie Anderson) and open the gig with Venus In Furs, my eyes got wet and I nearly get a panik attack, the moment I dreamed in whole my life! For that moment I felt like "the circle was unbroken".

Have a nice saturday!
