…and now for something completely different! 3120 - 2026

These damned religious fanatics, politicians, warlords, and so on... Instead of sending the children of their peoples to THEIR OWN WARS, these idiots should settle their differences in large arenas with boxing matches or football games! For example, the "peace-making" Evangelical Messiah Agent Orange against the belligerent Putin, or the Pope in his ridiculous disguise against the bearded Ayatollahs with beards down to their navels... More examples welcome! - RYP

PLEASE READ OUR RULES:
We have a first entry each day that is a picture or a video, and only in that entry you can place your music links and requests (NO ALBUMS OR BOOKS RELEASED IN 2024 AND AFTER, AND A DAILY LIMIT OF 3 ALBUMS OR BOOKS AND NO REQUESTS FOR FLAC OR OTHER LOSSLESS, IF YOU WANT FLAC, BUY THE ALBUM)! Here you can say what you like, unless it's offensive, racist or discriminatory! Please keep your language polite and respectful. All other official posts will only allow comments related to the official posts and such. That way it will keep things much more organized and tidy. Enjoy! RYP and Gyro1966 and Gaius R.I.P.

The quality of these 1978 boards is, if I may quote a Dead Head, "unbelievable". I tend to agree.

It's Arno Nyms Experimental CD-R Cardboard Box, Volume 12
--------------------------------------------------------------
Today a very mixed bag from my CD-R collection ranging from drone to soft indie folk ballads!

1. Solar Skeletons – Ex-Stasi Promo CD-R (2011)
Solar Skeletons is an experimental duo from France formed in 2006 by Éric Desjeux (Tzii) and Nicolas Esterlé (Ripit). Their work spans a wide range of genres, including industrial, electro, drone, noise, doom, blues, techno, and black metal. “Ex-Stasi” sits in a fairly unusual corner of the underground electronic and industrial spectrum. It isn't dance music in the conventional sense, nor is it pure noise. Instead, it's a slow, hypnotic blend of several styles.

2. Homecomings – Songs By Homecomings CD-R (a.k.a. Homecomings) - 2009
Instead of more experimental music this is for a change pure indie singer songwriter stuff! Homecomings was a short-lived American indie/folk project centered on singer-songwriter Bill Fay. The album was released in a very limited vinyl that has since become a collectible among fans of private-press and independent folk releases. The CD-R is even rarer, this was a Tour-CD even before the album was released … It does not include artwork, but it features an original drawing and the title “Songs of Homecomings” applied directly to the disc (see scans).

3. So Beast – Kira (CD-R Version) - 2016
So Beast is an experimental music duo by Katarina Poklepović and Michele Quadri from Bologna, Italy. They began collaborating around 2015, initially experimenting with piano, drum machines, and improvisation in Bologna's underground arts scene. Their work is often described as immersive, cinematic, and unconcerned with conventional genre labels, appealing to listeners who enjoy experimental electronic artists and avant-garde pop. This is their experimental album Kira in a promo version with a hand painted cover (see scans)
