...In the sequel, it seems that the band worked almost exclusively in the rehearsal space and recording studio, but did little or nothing in public. In 2013, the fourteen-song album Hanagal was released, which was released in only twenty copies, but its material had been recorded in Hanagal's studio in 1982 by Kjartani Kjartansson, the cover of the album was handmade. A year later, an improved version of the album was released, but with three extra tracks, the edition was half as big this time – forty copies. The third version of Hanagali was released in the same year (2014), published by Synthadelia records, and was the version with eighteen songs. The other two Hanagolins had been released by the Disappointment team themselves. It was in 2021 that an auspicious double vinyl album version of the album was released by Reykjavík record shop - both in colored and black vinyl, that version had nineteen tracks. In 2017, an eleven-song album was released with Vonbrigður, it was titled Sauðanes and attracted little attention. It seems that guitarist Gísli M. Sigurjónsson (Bacon, XIII, etc.) has been somewhat attached to the band for the last few seasons, but there is no solid record of that, the band is probably still active.
It can honestly be said that Vonvírið has been a pure and simple underground band in its later stages, as it did little to appear publicly and did not follow any mainstream trends, a small but loyal group has followed the band and it mostly consists of old fans of the same age and members of the band. People have more or less forgotten the band's signature song, which still keeps its signs in the air, and perhaps it could be said that Ó, Reykjavík has earned a place among the Reykjavík poems of Tómasar Guðmundsson and the songs that have been written with them. - Helgi J / 09/05/2019
