Het "Ik Heb Geen Zin Om Op Te Staan" 1965-1967 ed. 2012

Dutch beat group, shortly active in the 1960's.
"Ik Heb Geen Zin Om Te Staan" The song was in the name of Tinka Bouber, but was written by her husband Bob Bouber and was distinguished by the comic text, which was also in Dutch. Other Dutch pop groups from that time strived to sing in English and thus aimed at an international audience. Bouber didn't sing it himself, by the way; he did not consider himself suitable as a singer; Jacques Zwart became the lead singer of Het.
The narrator says it's time to get up, but he doesn't feel like it at all. First with his bare feet on the cold sail, then to his boss... Both cases reflect an era. Due to a lack of money, bedrooms often still had tarpaulins and "long-haired, work-shy scum" did not feel like working for a boss with bare hands (anti-authority feeling from the 1960s). He finally decides to stay in bed all day and then alone; his girlfriend is already gone ("if only you were here").
The Netherlands first became acquainted with Het on November 4, 1965. The group arrived on a mobile bed on Dam Square in Amsterdam, sat on it and waved to the audience. After ten minutes the police put an end to the performance.[2] Shortly afterwards I don't feel like getting up was in the record stores. The record entered the Dutch Top 40 on December 18, 1965 and reached ninth place. - wiki
