In the 60s and 70s, the German branch of CBS used to pre-release promo singles in a series they called “blitzinformation” (= lightning information), with each single being housed in a specific sleeve. Most of the time, the rear of the sleeve was a generic one, but some of them were different.
Most tracks were the original versions; some were edited versions and some others were exclusive single versions.
I have gathered 20 such singles by Bob Dylan (41 tracks as there is a 3-track one), and compiled them in two zip files.
Each zip file contains 10 sub-directories (one for each single with both tracks, front cover, back cover and labels images).
I have also made CD artwork for those who would like to burn the tracks onto 2 CDRs.
So here we go with volume 1:
Bob Dylan – CBS-Blitzinformation – Volume 1
1. Knockin' On Heaven's Door (2:30)
2. Turkey Chase (3:30)
3. A Fool Such As I (2:44)

This compilation is titled "Did You Know These Stars Also Sang?" Listeners may answer Yes to some, but given the inclusion of Robert Mitchum, Paulette Goddard, Clark Gable, Barbara Stanwyck, James Stewart and Gracie Allen, to name but a few, I guess most would answer No. This is a fascinating miscellany from the silver screen, based upon film soundtrack extracts, topped up by radio recordings and the odd issued commercial recording. In his liner note Geoff Milne seems to be inviting suggestions for a further compilation, for which purpose I'd nominate Walter Huston's "September Song". A must have for film buffs, collectors of curiosities, and pub quiz compilers.

John Inman
Frederick John Inman (28 June 1935 – 8 March 2007) was an English actor and singer best known for his role as Mr. Humphries in Are You Being Served?, a British sitcom between 1972 and 1985, and the spin-off series Grace and Favour and was the only actor from those series to reprise the role when an Australian version was launched.
In 1976, Inman was named both BBC TV Personality of the Year and TV Times readers' Funniest Man on Television. He was also a well-known character actor in the United Kingdom as a pantomime dame.

@zigzagwanderer. Despite the fact that I only downloaded a couple of your Captain Beefheart bootlegs, I like to say congrats with vol. 100.
@ Rob Kopp
Thanks ,
I never thought that I'd carry it on this long , I'm well aware that Beefheart isn't for everyone & I've been pleasantly surprised in the interest shown . There's never less than 95 downloads for each boot , more often in the region of 200 .
I'm finally coming towards the end , maybe another ten posts & I'll be finished .
