…and now for something completely different! 1968 - 2023

These fucking politicians, warlords and religious... They don't know that they are as superfluous as telephone disinfectors and hairdressers! - RYP

We have a first entry each day that is a picture or a video, and only in that entry you can place your music links and requests (NO ALBUMS RELEASED IN 2021 AND AFTER, AND A DAILY LIMIT OF 3 ALBUMS AND NO REQUESTS FOR FLAC OR OTHER LOSSLESS, IF YOU WANT FLAC, BUY THE ALBUM)! Here you can say what you like, unless it's offensive, racist or discriminatory! Please keep your language polite and respectful. All other official posts will only allow comments related to the official posts and such. That way it will keep things much more organized and tidy. Enjoy! RYP and Gyro1966

Here are the singer-songwriter Johnny Dowd's first two albums from 1998 and 1999. In my opinion one of americas finest artists, definitely not for everyone. I don't know how two describe him, just listen, he's definitely one of a kind, but some of us totally fell in love with the guy. Cheers.

David Perry Lindley (March 21, 1944 – March 3, 2023)
was an American musician who founded the band El Rayo-X, and worked with many other performers including Jackson Browne, Linda Ronstadt, Ry Cooder, Bonnie Raitt, Warren Zevon, Curtis Mayfield and Dolly Parton. He mastered such a wide variety of instruments that Acoustic Guitar magazine referred to him not as a multi-instrumentalist, but instead as a “maxi-instrumentalist.”

Re Jillem over at https://hollandtunneldive.blogspot.com/
I don't know how to contact Jillem so I post this here in the hopes that he might read it or someone else may be able to get it to him.
His blog has probably the most comprehensive archive on the web. It would be a shame to lose it.
Apparently He is currently dealing with some people who use JDownloader and are finding that after 15 minutes they lost the download.
So his current posts are on WorkUpload. OK.
What concerns me is that the last few uploads were on WorkUpload but not also on Zippyshare.
So,
1/ Why would Zippyshare interfere with anybody using the assistance of JDownloader? Why would they care? So if there is a problem it's more likely lto be with JDownloader. Also probably not deliberate, but it may have been hacked.
2/ The complaint from one individual was that 'the download took 15 minutes and then stopped -EVEN WITH A VPN!'
3/ It seems reasonable to me that there is currently a campaign to destroy Zippy. They can't do it through the front door, so they try dirty tricks.
4/ With a VPN, if you need it, or without if you don't - it takes only a few minutes at most to download from Zippy. Even from other download sites, the free download time (if they are not manipulating it to get you to pay) is currently close to instant.
4/ If it's taking you 15 minutes or more to download - unless the site deliberately slows the time down - and some of them do - How old is your computer? The problem may be with your
computer or the quality of your internet connection and not out on the net.
5/ If Adding JDownloader to a download slows it down that much, and if others can download from Zippy without problems, surely its not much use?
Seems to me that something is not right in the state of Denmark.
So Jillem, please keep updating your Zippy Archive, what ever else you do.
Go well!
