Linda Martell released a lovely country album on Plantatation Records in 1970, sadly she never break, as she should. Marc Benno formed a short lived project back in 1973 with guitarist Steve Ray Vaughan, together they delivered a mix of groovy blues, hippierock and even country, the album was unreleased till 2007.

Glad you liked the Jamaican Serenades posts... as for the other collections you mentioned, you're in luck as I have all the Blue Beat 45's series... there are 28 in total... like you said, Steve Lindley posted a handful or so on his Sidewalk Doctor blog although the series is normally credited to Gordon Robertson (aka Gordy, aka DJ Greedy), a name tagged into many a reggae vinyl rip from back in the day... Along with a handful of other reggae vinyl collectors, both also made numerous contributions to the Jamaican Serenades comps...
I also have all the Island 45's series which like Jamaican Serenades, appeared around the mid-noughties... there are 9 in total... these comps also crop up under the name "Red & White Island 45's"... a reference to the label design of Island's UK single releases...
As far as Rio 45's go, I only have Vol. 3 of the series and have never seen Vols. 1 & 2 if they ever existed... I have Vols. 1 & 2 of the Black Swan series and am not aware of any further volumes. The Ska Beat - R&B 45's series you mention I am not familiar with...
