Here's punk-rocker Jeff Dahls first two solo records from 1990 and 1991, high energy punk rock sounds with great lyrics and attitude, and it reminds much about Stiv Bators and Dead Boys for sure. This very productive guy was born in Stuttgart, Germany in 1960, then moved to Hawaii and since 1977 he lives in Los Angeles and are still active. This is two bone wreckin' albums and way ahead of it's time.

The Civil War
Here's my contribution to the recent Civil War posts, two CDs from my collection.
I bought this Mercury album many years ago. Although not a Civil War buff, or even knowing that much about the American Civil War at that time, I am a fan of music played on instruments contemporary with the music. All the marching music is played on Civil War era marching band instruments (with the bell facing backwards), instruments that I didn't know existed before reading about this album. The battle sounds use cannons and muskets of the time recorded especially for this project.
There is a large and very informative booklet with this release, which I haven't scanned [sorry everyone, spending two to three hours slaving over a hot scanner isn't my idea of a good time] and have been unable to find as a pdf online. Someone else may have better luck finding it.

@ Aaron Vincent who posted The Bobby Lees a few days ago.
Last summer I got word that they were playing in Pittsburgh, PA so we drove an hour to catch them play live. I believe that they were to leave for a European tour the next day.
The "event" was an all-ages show literally held out in the freakin' woods in an open space.
The Bobby Lees played a feroucious set & I got many great photographs of them doing it.
My brother best described seeing/hering them play live is like having a hurricane blow right through you.
All their albums are great but it's live where they shine. Hopefully they'll release a live album in the future.

Friendly question/request:
There is a video clip of Jimi Hendrix playing the acoustic version of Hear My Train A Coming. All versions I could find end (before the song is finished) with a still or a shot of Jimi in a car.
Does anyone know of a "full" version? I would love to see his face when he says: do you think i'd do that? at the end of the song.

due to the rules that apply here, I have deleted your post. Please read the text below the video on the main page. You can repeat your post, but with max. 3 CD's/LP's/albums per day! Thanks!
I hope with all this civil war music we're not going down that road with certain flags 😉. I am joking, by the way.

Free Friday Films brings you KILL BILL, PART 2!
It’s not that Kill Bill Vol. 2 is “bad” so much as it contains all the clues and seeds of Quentin’s imminent self destruction. All the self-indulgence, all the voyeuristic hard-ons at watching _____ do _____ to each other, the utter lack of characters with any depth… it’s all here, waiting to hatch. If QT manages to contain his impulses enough to deliver an entertaining yarn one last time with Kill Bill, it’s probably due to some combination of a) his still-youthful delight at making movies for a living b) his need to prove himself after the lackluster commercial performance of his previous film, and c) Uma Thurman, aka “The Bride”.
Uma gives such a compelling performance, it transcends “The Bride”‘s comic-book dimensionality, even though the truth is, after spending four hours with this character, we still really know nothing about her. Of course, for Quentin, what’s to know? People in his world are merely archetypical action figures created for the sole purpose of play inside his sandbox. And that’s fine, as long as the story’s good enough to hold it all together, which, in this case, it is- barely. Told mostly in flashbacks, the film works so long as Tarantino’s nostalgic imagination runs wild- remaking kung-fu films, etc. It all comes crashing to a halt the minute he introduces a real human being in the film, aka The Bride’s 4-year-old daughter, wherein we’re supposed to all of a sudden think of everyone as an actual human being and feel happy that this murdering mom is about to eliminate dad and raise a healthy child by herself. All in good fun, I guess?

@BigGray - Thanks for the Civil War albums. The place to look for artwork is musicbrainz. They have all of the Fennell CD booklet except pages 4 and 5. I downloaded all that they have, retitled the files, and zipped it up.

[Even if you don't recognize his name, you've heard some of Leroy Anderson's compositions. This album includes Bugler's Holiday and Sleigh Ride. I downloaded Volume 2, but I haven't processed it yet. I'll try to get to it today.]
Here's some Lester Butler, who was the Red Devils' singer and harmonica player. He lived an authentic blues lifestyle and died young. There's a good article on the Red Devils here:

13 was Butler's band after the Red Devils had split. Unless I'm wrong, I posted some Red Devils material a while back. If anyone wants it again, just holler.

@ clash Many thanks for sharing It's Happening vols 1&2 etc over the last few days - they're excellent. Is there a vol 11 ? I've looked back and found vols 1 to 10 and 12 & 13. But I can't find vol 11
Thanks again for the excellent shares - cheers.
@Searnav
Yes my friend.. It's a reissue by Esoteric records with 8 tracks more of Miller Anderson - Bright City (1971) .. Can you or everyone of this community help me?

It seems that you don't know what Searnav meant. Due to our rules an album, even though it's a remastered one, should not be published in 2021 and after. And this Anderson CD is remastered in 2023.
So you have to look for the bonus material by yourself. The 1971 original is here:

@Roz, here you go.

@Mr. Movie Club, much thanks for both the flicks as well as your insightful commentaries. You nailed Tarantino's more recent oeuvre.
