Donn Tarris:Arrival was a band formed after the release of my 1977 LP "Party", with friends who played on the recordings done at Ocean Sound in North Vancouver, engineered by Dave Thomas, video done by the production crew at Sound Proof show, also in North Van. This band opened for Tom Petty when he performed at the Commodore Showroom in Vancouver. All great musicians, we started playing all of my compositions, but had expanded our catalogue out to include songs by pretty much all members of the band. A diverse range of genres covered. I have no recollection of why we disbanded, but three of us went on to form "The Wet!", a new wave band that released a four song EP and recorded enough material to finish up with a full LP. That band ended shortly after my health was in decline and I had left. I was the bass player, engineer and producer for that band, leaving the songwriting to the other members of the band. Sadly, we lost Eric Annabelle, the drummer in 2012 and just this year we lost Brian Black, lead singer and writer, both with The Wet!.

NRBQ fans: Does anyone know where the band got the song "Daddy-O"? The one with the refrain, "He's got apples and peaches for you". Was it originally a polka tune?
I'm referring to the song on the Grooves In Orbit album that is credited to "Santos", not the Tommy Duncan tune "Daddy Loves MommyO" that appeared on the live album "Diggin Uncle Q".
