…and now for something completely different! 1801 - 2022

These fucking politicians, warlords and religious... They don't know that they are as superfluous as telephone disinfectors and hairdressers! - RYP

We have a first entry each day that is a picture or a video, and only in that entry you can place your music links and requests (NO ALBUMS RELEASED IN 2020 AND AFTER, AND A DAILY LIMIT OF 3 ALBUMS)! Here you can say what you like, unless it's offensive, racist or discriminatory! Please keep your language polite and respectful. All the rest official posts will only allow comments related to the official posts and such. That way it will keep things much more organized and tidy. Enjoy! RYP and Gyro1966

Simon & Garfunkel – Sounds Of Silence

My LP = Columbia CS 9269 (USA 1966) (stereo)

Notes: (see images)

The original mono version didn’t have the tracks listed on the front cover.

The original mono and stereo versions wrongly titled track A6 “Angie” and wrongly credited the track to Bert Jansch. The following pressings corrected it as being “Anji” credited to Davy Graham.

1. A1 The Sounds Of Silence (3:05)
2. A2 Leaves That Are Green (2:24)
3. A3 Blessed (3:17)
4. A4 Kathy's Song (3:42)
5. A5 Somewhere They Can't Find Me (2:38)
6. A6 Anji (2:18)
7. B1 Richard Cory (2:59)
8. B2 A Most Peculiar Man (2:33)
9. B3 April Come She Will (1:52)
10. B4 We've Got A Groovy Thing Goin' (2:00)
11. B5 I Am A Rock (2:59)

Here is Endless Boogie's 2008 release Focus Level. A New York band who's albums are like a great mixtape, they do heavy boogie in a mix between Stones and ZZ Top, uptempo spacerock in the vein of Hawkwind, longer minimalist jams with a mix of psychedelic and blues, powerful vocals. Great and fascinating band, maybe you already shared their stuff thousand times, but I really dig some of their albums. Support them if you like them!

Here is 1 of 4 mixtapes I made with all (of what I know) original versions that the swedish garage rockers The Nomads covered on 7inches, mini albums, full length albums, on tribute albums, flexi's, compilations and live shows from 1981 to 2021, I might have missed a couple. I don't know if The Nomads were into Jerry Lee's och The Bishops version of "Teenage letter" (probably The Bishops) but I included Jerry Lee, the same thing with "Milk Cow Blues", was it The Kinks version? I included Rick Nelsons version cause I find it better. Support, promote and celebrate The Nomads!

Hello everybody. I haven't been able to watch videos on You Tube for several weeks. I always did it with Opera through its VPN, but now when I clic "play" on every video, nothing happens. With any video. Have any of you experienced something similar? Is there any solution? I know I could use other browsers, but I am interested in VPN for privacy. Thank you from Spain.

I'm very glad you enjoyed yesterdays two Impulse records, incredible groovy stuff!

To me Impulse! is THE record label, to me they released incredible stuff to the bitter end in the mid to late 70's when it went ABC all over the place (if I remember right) and then going down for some decade. The only record company you can compare it to is at least as fantastic are the german MPS label, so god damned great from start to finnish, in my opinion.

I am studying my copy of "Sounds Of Silence". It is an original (I think) mono LP and has CBS SEPG 62690 on the label. It is made in England. "Anji" is the last track on the first side. "Homeward Bound "is the first track on the second side. Many British pressings were more generous in content than the USA ones, and this is evident with Rolling Stones and Beatles albums. I also have the UK pressing of "Sunflower" by the Beach Boys which has "Cottonfields" as the first track. Sometimes, it is better for us Europeans, to be a little behind the US with regard to release dates. Gives us an opportunity to iron out problems and give more "bang for the buck" to the Fans.
