Thanks
Lots of great tracks on this one. Especially The Metronomes. ''Fountain Of Love'' is a marvellous song.
Some of the west coast greats from the original doo-wop era are on this one. Milestone was based in Hollywood, CA, had a lifespan of about four years, but only released a paltry eighteen or so singles. One cannot find fault with the ear candy provided by Venice's Blue Jays (led by Leon Peels) or Bakersfield's Paradons (led by West Tyler). The lesser known California Hi-Tensions (Los Angeles), Metronomes, Wilsons (AKA Wil-sons), and Angels (not related to the Orange, NJ, Camden, NJ or Philadelphia, PA groups of the same name, and also not related to the Bilijean & The Angels group from Los Angeles) are not hard to listen to either. The bonus picture provided some nice eye candy to drool over while listening to all of the ear candy. Please excuse the drool, but I am weak and just cannot help myself :). Thanks Gyro1966 and RYP. I'm glad to see that you two are still up to your old tricks. Just when you think it can't get any better....along comes TWILIGHTZONE!
Thank you !
The vocal work on this one is outstanding ! Some bands have a lot of singers and a fabulous harmonic structure ! Great one !
Thanks for the additional info, Chi-Town! Thanks to all who write in. I'm glad you are enjoying the Twilightzone!
I'm still listening to The Metronomes - Fountain Of Love. Stupendous track!
