Though the sound quality is variable (a few of Indigo's sources were a little heavy handed with noise reduction), this is a great set containing many obscure vocal groups that I've never seen on reissues before. I really appreciate the extra effort you took, Gyro, to provide the liner notes. Cheers! Marie

Excellent comp of the early doo-wop sounds. The sound quality does leave a bit to be desired but I have heard far worse from the 40's/early 50's. What do you expect? These recordings are 60-70 years old. "Digital" was not even a word back then let alone a recording process. Many of the greats from the first era of doo-wop are presented here. Great compilation. Hats off to Gyro1966 and RYP! You have done it again.

You are one highly notable person!
Thanks!

@Chi-Town: You're right there. I'd much rather hear the clicks, pops, etc. on older recordings, than to have the guts taken out of the music by over-zealous remasterers. Marie

This is exceptional! And how did you know this is perfect for my making-chicken-soup Saturday? Thanks again.
