Binoculers
Binoculers is a German music project founded in Hamburg in 2007 by singer-songwriter Nadja Rüdebusch.The project began with a minimalist, folk-oriented sound and gradually developed into more atmospheric and electronic music. Their songs often combine delicate vocals with layered guitars, piano, synthesizers, and carefully arranged sound textures. The lyrics explore emotions, memories, nature, and the contrast between light and darkness. With their spacious and intimate sound, Binoculers create music that feels both personal and dreamlike.
1 - Every Seaman's Got a Favourite Spaceship (2009)
Their debut album has a quiet, intimate character, with delicate melodies and Nadja Rüdebusch’s soft vocals at its center. Its songs feel thoughtful and slightly mysterious, creating a sense of drifting between everyday life and imagination. The simplicity of the arrangements gives the album a warm, personal atmosphere that rewards close listening.

… is their second album. Compared with their debut, the album feels more expansive, with richer arrangements and a stronger use of electronic sounds. Its atmospheric quality makes the album feel like a journey through changing moods, balancing warmth, melancholy, and a touch of wonder.

Ellenschneider
Ellenschneider was a German experimental music project from Rostock, active around the late 2000s and early 2010s. 3 – Ellenschneider – 111 (2011)
111 is an adventurous album by Ellenschneider that constantly shifts between playful rhythms, electronic sounds, and more organic textures. The tracks often feel unpredictable, with unusual combinations of instruments and sounds creating a slightly surreal atmosphere. Rather than following a conventional pop structure, the album invites to explore its strange little musical worlds.

Three from Issa Bagayogo (1961 - 2016), born in Korin the son of a farmer, he moved to Bamako in 1991 where he recorded his first songs, sadly it gained him no reward other than the pride of being able to return to the village with his photo on a cassette. A complete version of his second CD 'Timbuktu' and what I believe was his only live appearance in the UK.
