"Down Under, Up Above And In-Between" - International Garage Greats 1965-1967 (And Beyond!)

Gyro Records takes a quick detour overseas to capture the excitement of Australian & European garage greats from the sixties. Every one of these is a classic, and it’s all from the original 45’s! Back with USA garage tomorrow! (Enjoy RYP’s incredible art-work. Without him, we wouldn’t have any of this great music here at Twilightzone!)

This one is fantastic. If anyone is wondering, the cover photo is of Australia's Masters Apprentices, albeit their second lineup (1969-72) with Glenn Wheatley bassist front and centre. The earlier lineup recorded the cuts featured here, the amazing double sider Undecided/Wars or Hands of Time (1967).

Great comp. The Masters Apprentices on this album were one of my favourite bands at the time (1967, still sounds fantastic). The cover photo you have used is of the 1970 version of the band and the only original member is Jim Keays, the singer, who is on the left. Love TZ, it is my favourite blog site.
