Rick Vito – Hamburg - Downtown Blues Club 2002
Downtown Blues Club, Hamburg, Germany – April 12, 2002
Rick Vito (guitar, vocals)
Charlie Harrison (bass, vocals)
Rick Reed (drums, vocals)
Not available in stores
Criminally underrated singer, composer, producer and guitar player, Rick Vito has been a member of Fleetwood Mac, Roger McGuinn’s Thunderbyrd (with Charlie Harrison already), John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers and many others.
He has released many solo albums.
He appears on most post-1986 Bob Seger albums.
Rick also played with Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne, Little Richard, Bobby Whitlock, Dobie Gray, John Fogerty, Delaney & Bonnie, Albert Collins, Dolly Parton, Maria Muldaur and others. Don’t ask me to list all the albums by other artists on which he guests – hundreds of them.
He often tours in Europe with his own band.
He also currently is a member of The Mick Fleetwood Blues Band.
Having had the pleasure and privilege to meet and talk to the man on several occasions before and after concerts, I can personally tell that he also is a very nice human being.
Details about this criminally underrated artist here (including his impressive discography):
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rick_Vito
Charlie Harrison was the bass player / vocalist in Poco during 5 years and recorded 5 LPs with them. He played with numerous other bands, famous or not (Roger McGuinn's Thunderbyrd, Judas Jump, Coast Road Drive, Monty & The Pythons; Coyote Blu, and many others - he also is an in demand session musician). He also played bass for Rod Stewart on his 1986 World Tour.
Some details here:
http://www.tamworthbands.com/characters/charlesharrison/index.htm
Rick Reed has played with lots of bands and artists as well. He currently plays in one of John Jorgenson's bands, and is also a very busy session musician.

Not sure who to ask this, or if this is even a good place to ask, but, I am having issues getting to the "Foggy Notion" blog. It takes me to an ad page (which usually I just back out of) but never to the blog itself. Is this a case of operator error on my part or is there some magic formula? TIA!
Merci.
@djmcblues2 - Thanks for Sneak Attack
@Gonzo - Thanks for Woodstock The Oral History. I read the original at the library back when I was in college along with the accompanying cassette/audio book which used (I believe) the original recordings of the interviews which was pretty cool to hear them in their own voice.
Big thanx for the Checker gospel!
I've been having problems with Foggy Notion, too. Can't get to the stuff they post.
For those sites, Soundofthesixties, unofficialblog, foggynotion and others it is best to use Brave searchengine. at least for me it works flawless.
Thanks Dean for your efforts
