…and now for something completely different! 3055 - 2026

These damned religious fanatics, politicians, warlords, and so on... Instead of sending the children of their peoples to THEIR OWN WARS, these idiots should settle their differences in large arenas with boxing matches or football games! For example, the "peace-making" Evangelical Messiah Agent Orange against the belligerent Putin, or the Pope in his ridiculous disguise against the bearded Ayatollahs with beards down to their navels... More examples welcome! - RYP

LEASE READ OUR RULES:
We have a first entry each day that is a picture or a video, and only in that entry you can place your music links and requests (NO ALBUMS OR BOOKS RELEASED IN 2024 AND AFTER, AND A DAILY LIMIT OF 3 ALBUMS OR BOOKS AND NO REQUESTS FOR FLAC OR OTHER LOSSLESS, IF YOU WANT FLAC, BUY THE ALBUM)! Here you can say what you like, unless it's offensive, racist or discriminatory! Please keep your language polite and respectful. All other official posts will only allow comments related to the official posts and such. That way it will keep things much more organized and tidy. Enjoy! RYP and Gyro1966 and Gaius R.I.P.

Saint Vitus were the only doom metal band on Black Flags famous SST label. Here's an aptly named compilation of early tunes.

The Byrds – Sweetheart Of The Rodeo

My LP = CBS 63353 (U.K. 1968) (mono)

Roger McGuinn (guitar, banjo, vocals)
Chris Hillman (bass, acoustic guitar, mandolin, vocals)
Kevin Kelley (drums)
Gram Parsons (guitar, piano, organ, vocals)

Barry Goldberg (piano)
Lloyd Green (pedal steel guitar)
John Hartford (banjo, acoustic guitar, fiddle)

Black Swan – Echoes And Rainbows

MCA MAPS 5666 - LPB 105 (Belgium 1971)

Polydor 2393 028 (France 1971)

Opalo OPL-4-LP (Spain 1972)

Billy Bridge (real name Jean-Marc Brige – born 1945, died 1994) was one of the most successful idols of the early sixties French « Yé Yé » era. He quickly disappeared from the charts but resurfaced in 1969 as Michel Sorel, with a couple of songs that went nowhere. Then, he reappeared with a bang in 1971 as “Black Swan”, selling one million copies of his chart-topping single “Echoes And Rainbows”, sung in English. One can hardly believe it’s the same guy by listening to recordings from both eras.

The track listing hereunder is for the Belgian release. The French and Spanish LPs had the same tracks, but they were not in the same order.

1. A1 Echoes And Rainbows (4:10)
2. A2 Walking My Monkey (2:35)
3. A3 Gotta Find Me A Woman (2:45)
4. A4 Life Goes On (3:35)
5. A5 River Girl (2:23)
6. A6 The Hour Glass (2:19)
7. B1 Da Ge De Li Da (3:35)
8. B2 Sugar Hill Georgia (3:13)
9. B3 I Need Your Loving (2:44)
10. B4 Leah (3:32)
11. B5 Lady Love Is Back In Town (2:44)
12. B6 Go Where The Rain Goes (2:53)

Artwork Included (France, Belgium and Spain fronts, backs, labels)

You people in this great forum are usually very helpful when it comes to finiding more or less obscure music. This time I'm looking for something that is not particularly obscure, but still turned out to be difficult to find on the Internet.

Does anyone have Martha Reeves' self-titled solo album from 1974? (This album: https://www.discogs.com/master/245826-Martha-Reeves-Martha-Reeves) If anyone can share it I'd be extremely grateful. It seems there is a cd re-issue with bonus tracks, and if anyone can share that it is even better.

Of course I'd like the best bitrate possible, but anything above 128 kbps is fine.

Thanks in advance.

@Ramone666 - I couldn't get into Musify yesterday either, wanted my password and wouldn't recognize it when I put it in. It suggested a 'Google' sign in instead, I did that and it was fine again....it does periodically get the heeby geebies occasionally....

It's a fold-down rather than a dedicated mono mix. A while back I used AI to make a mono mix - it's here:
