The Untamed Youth "Untamed Melodies" 1996

Awesome organ-heavy surf tunes from the Mid-west! Rockabilly fans should recognize the tall, slightly balding guitar player on the left of the cover - it's retro-rock god Derek "Deke" Dickerson (as he is credited on this album). Fans of Deke's more surf oriented stuff should eat this up. - By Jason Weckerly "rockin' tiki guy" (Long Beach CA)
Just fun short hopping tunes about girls, cars, & beer. these boys from missouri have captured the "surf" sound better than any california band since dick dale, & this mix of obscure covers & retro originals is just the remedy for the schlock radio churns out. maybe eminem wouldnt be as upset as he is if he had listened to a little of this during his formative years. - By mark bychowski (Houston, TX United States)
