At one time I had an idea to try this for the first four albums since I wasn't into the Byrds' later material for a long time, but this is so much more essential to do their whole career! I really like the "Sweetheart of the Rodeo" originals and think the Byrds do them justice. That brings up a question for you...I was pointed to your blog by a Soulseek user who had uploaded a vinyl rip of yours of the "Sweetheart of the Rodeo" UK mono LP. As he only had it in mp3, I was wondering if you perhaps still have it and maybe in a lossless form...and would it be something you would be willing to share again? Love fado music. Was in Porto a few months ago and went to a great club/restaurant, Casa de Mariquinhas. They featured 2 fado singers the night we were there: Gina Santos and Antonio Laranjeira. Highly recommnd the restaurant and seeing either of the 2 singers if they are performing elsewhere. The fado museum in Lisbon is also worth visiting.

La musica yesterday gave some fine YT jazz recommendations. The Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio, so much and rightly recommended by him, is represented on (the wonderful) EGROJ's site with 5 albums. All of which are high class, but one has a final, special title: "Cold as Weiss" (the drummer). Smart, self-ironic, but above all: energetic beyond belief. Go for it, TZ community! Best, TC

Marilyn Rovell was married for some years to Brian Wilson and is the mother of Wendy and Carnie Wilson. With her sister, Diane, and their cousin, Sandra Glantz (aka Ginger Blake), she formed The Honeys (named after the nickname for surfer girlfriends). Way back in the 50's my dad had a 45 side one was a little ditty spelling Albuquerque and side 2 was the same ditty spelling it backward. Anyone here remember that?
